Our Journey So Far...

In the beginning:

Rose and Bow was born from an absolute love of crafting. Maritsa has always been a creative person with a love for craft and an eye for making a vision come to life.

In 2015 Maritsa found herself stuck in severe depression and struggling with anxiety. She originally started by making candles in her kitchen to keep her mind busy and to pass the time. She quickly found that even though she had always enjoyed crafting, this was the one thing that made her feel peaceful and happy. And so she began to move away from her office job to start her journey by following her dream.

The dream:

This dream began with many ideas, and trying all forms of crafting she could get her hands on. She made the decision to leave her full-time employment, with the support of her husband. Pursuing her dreams of having her own business that brings joy into her life has not been the easiest journey, but Rose and Bow has been a labour of love. She is loving every moment of the process and her husband gets to join in too.

And now:

Maritsa is committed to creating products that are fun, simplistic and practical. Knowing that you made something that can be used for a practical purpose or special occasion that can bring joy to others, be environmentally friendly and look beautiful, who wouldn’t want to get involved in that?

She is always inspired by her surroundings and experiences. This can be seen in some of her favourite products, specifically baby gifts and accessories: the Kiddokoa range.

She can always be found searching for new ideas, trying and testing products. It’s a process of trial and error. Sometimes you dream something up and it doesn’t turn out how you planned it, and that is fine. Things take time and developing a product that she knows she will be proud to send out is the most important thing, even if this means it needs to be tested and tried over and over.

The journey continues:

At the moment Maritsa is focused on expanding her design range and working towards being able to bring people more customisable products. Her products are made from sustainably sourced wood, and she plans to expand her designs by exploring other mediums in the future, but for now, she is starting to live her best life, and working towards her dreams.
